Not enough patients = Annie not working
This afternoon there are not enough patients for 1 tech and 1 massage therapist to work...
so I got booted because patients coming in need massage therapy.
OH well...more studying time for my test tonight!

Friday after work...
I go to babysit My-An and Kevin's kids, Kaitlin and Kristopher.
They are the cutest kiddos.
Kaitlin is a little over 2 yrs and Kris is 7.5 months.
I love these kids. This is where I spend my lunch time almost every day.
So I had the PT look at my wrist. She said I strained it and its a bit inflammed.
I now have kineseo tape on it to help reduce some of the swelling.
The swelling on the top of my wrist is gone. Now it hurts when I try to bend my wrist.
haha...I hope I can play football tomorrow. I'll probably play anyway.
Time to feed the kiddos!

LONGHORN BASKETBALL!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!Did you catch our game...UT vs West Virginia?!?!
It made me lost my voice, that's how close it was. Though I have to admit I was yelling at my own team for being dumb...sorry, I can't help it. but we won't go into that. I had to yell, it was neck and neck the 2nd half since we lost our 14 point lead!
Oh well...Who cares! We won! Thanks Paulino for being clutch :)
When Paulino made the winning shot, Anet, my mom (yes my mom!), and I started screaming at the top of our lungs. My dad runs out from wherever he was like something happened to us. I guess you have to be here to see the site of 3 women yelling at 11 o'clock at night.
Now we're on our way to the Elite 8. We have LSU to beat, but I think we can do it.
"Big Baby" got nothing on us!
Ok, I gotta get to bed.
I think I have screwed up something around the superior part of my right scapula (from work I think) and my right wrist from slipping on the ground playing basketball like 3 times. Didn't learn the first time to NOT use my hand to break my fall.
I will go to work broken tomorrow. Maybe the PT I work for will do something about it!
Good Night!

Mannie and Me!
March 11, 2006
Mannie & Me
One of my closest and dearest friend got married. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding!
I love weddings (I have to, I'm at the age where everyone is getting married), but they can make me sad. It's really because friends move away after they get married. So far I have been lucky and most of the weddings I have attended are either in a different state or city so I don't see them often, or they are in the same town and I still get to see them. With Man Nam (Mannie), she moved to San Francisco because that is where Stephen is from. It was hard to tell her good-bye, but it will just mean I get to make a trip out to California! I'll miss seeing her, but she is happy so I am happy!
By the way, Man Nam, I will be in the San Jose/San Francisco area the third weekend in July!
Can't wait to see you then :P
I'll try and post some more pics later.
Too Fast
Spring Break is nearing its end. It always, always goes by way too fast.
I don't want to go back to class nor do I want to go back to work.
This week I tried a new restaurant everytime I went out to eat, which was like 6 different places. Most were good, but there will be some I will not go back to. By the end of the weekend, I want to try at least 2 more different restaurants.

Trickle
It's like 2:30 AM, and I just got home from Man Nam and Stephen's Wedding (absolutely gorgeous by the way!). I have been running around in heels all day long and all I want is a nice, hot shower.
So I get in and all is well...then the sprinklers from outside go on. GRRRRR.... *sigh*
I ended up showering with luke warm water under a trickle...trickle, trickle, trickle...what a way to end a beautiful day :P

Wanting a New Job
In my away message today, I wrote "who wants to hire me?" This is the response I get...
knawk (6:19:15 PM): i'll hire u!
knawk (6:19:18 PM): u can wash my car!
knawk (6:19:24 PM): i'll give u like...$7.50/hr
knawk (6:19:35 PM): OR
knawk (6:19:42 PM): u can clean our house! $9/hr!
knawk (6:19:44 PM): OR
knawk (6:19:54 PM): u can cook for us! $15/hr!
knawk (6:20:12 PM): OR
knawk (6:20:32 PM): u can be our personal house transporter! free lodging and food!
knawk (6:22:03 PM): in the luxurious confines of 1500 murray lane, an elegant 1920s setting household, set in the beautiful lush hillside of the Austin country
Leave it to kevin. But when I'm in Austin, I'll take up the cooking offer!
But seriously, I really want to get a new job. I have never not liked where I have worked before. I know everyone gets that kind of job every once in awhile, but until now, I have been blessed. I'm the type to work hard at whatever work I need to do and usually I don't say much about bad stuff. I still work my butt off here; but this time, I just don't feel comfortable at my job. I don't feel like I can relate with or talk to the people I work with (there is only 3 of us). I only work with the PT (don't see much of the office admin) and I am the only tech. I don't really talk to the PT because she is usually doing something. Most of the time she is telling me what to do with each patient's plan of care. It is hard being the only tech because then I end up having to juggle 5 patients around during an hour. To me, the quality and attention of therapy that each patient gets go down when I have to run around. I like the patients I see but only about half I see is there really any communication. The atmosphere makes a big difference in how you feel when you are at work. I also don't have a steady schedule so there is no set amount of hours I work. That doesn't help me when I trying to earn and save money. Grad school costs a lot! There is a lot more, but I don't want to say. and I really shouldn't be complaining. I do have a job, which is better than nothing. Anyway, enough of that. Please tell me to stop if you hear me complaining to you about this! Sorry about my complaining!

Interview
I just finished my interview with UTMB over the phone.
I was extremely hot and sweating everywhere!
Good think I was here and not there.
So by the end of next week, I will know where I will be come summer or fall or maybe even have options of where I will be!
I'm still waiting on UT San Antonio but if I can get in the other ones, I don't care for this one!
Dinner with the parents tonight for their anniversary.
I still owe an update and interesting stories.
I'll get around to that.
By the way, the patient that said I looked rough, said I looked much better!
Haha...old ladies crack me up :P

Job Update!
soo...I got the job!
whoohoooo...I called back to the clinic on Monday told her what I wanted as pay.
She called back Tuesday and we negotiated...I kinda won but at this moment pretty anything is better than nothing. Today, I start at 8 AM! That's right folks...8 AM.
I have not woken up at this hour since I have moved home in September. I also don't go to sleep until 4 am. Well last night, thankfully I fell asleep before 1 am but...I woke up at 5 am and COULD NOT go back to sleep. I tossed and turned and got up and heard my mom yell for my sister to wake up for 2 hours. Well my mom didn't yell for 2 hours, just 5 minutes, but I rolled around in my bed for 2 hours, getting really frustrated that I couldn't sleep again.
I work at Hope Rehab as a Rehab Tech. Teresa, the manager/PT, plays KSBJ all day so it is sooo great! and there was this one old lady who, is really perky, started singing along with songs...sooo cute! This is nothing like working with kids. Working here is very routine, I am not a fan with routine. I like to be creative with my patients, but anyway it's a job.
And I have to say, I totally dispise driving in Houston. The clinic is about 6 miles from my house, it took me 35-40 minutes to get there today. What in the world!!! sigh...at least I don't have to show up until 9 am tomorrow, and hopefully I'll get more than 4 hours of sleep.
Now I have to do homework...I'm back to being busy...oh boy...

Why?
Why do I have such a hard time making decisions, especially over the simplest thing?
Is it a girl thing because thats what I keep hearing!
Is it a girl thing because thats what I keep hearing!
YAHOOOO =D
My first exciting news in forever!!!
So finally after all the wait, as you all know I don't wait very well at all, I got a call for my first interview for grad school! Yahooo...I wanted to jump up and down as I was on the phone, but then I couldn't write down all the info I needed. The interview is to Texas Tech, not my first choice but at this point I'm not too terribly picky. I don't know anyone out there anymore. Everyone I knew has graduated and left. But who cares bc I'm still freaking ecstatic about it. But right now, I have the dilemma of trying to find a flight out there without staying overnight and so far it looks like I'm staying overnight. Darn those cities out there! The tickets are about $180, and I'm going out to the land of oil...geez!
Now if only UTMB would call me for an interview!
So I start calling friends to let them know because I'm home by myself and need to let it ALL out. So then, I get another call...for a job interview! I have been looking and no one has been hiring or calling me back. The therapist asks if I could come in an hour...sure! I have nothing else to do =) I go in, we talk, and I find out she's a PT graduate from Tech and she knows people in the OT department! SCORE! We talk about that for a little bit and then got shown around the clinic. I think I pretty much got the job since she told me to call back Monday to tell her whether or not I want the job. I think salary is the issue since I asked for a bit more than she can give. We will see come Monday.
That night I went to Osaka for Diana's birthday and to the Lounge. First time I have been out in Houston. It was no 4th/6th street but still a lot of fun! Thanks to Jenny who kept saying lets go, lets go!!! She's fun :p
I guess I better go start out my Saturday. I need to go pick up my contacts. I am also craving DIM SUM!!!

a lil' something
It's been awhile, hasn't it? When I first started, I didn't (and so did most people) think I would post for more than a week.
Anyway, classes have started and so has the job hunting. I'll be back soon, but here's a lil' something to hold you over.
