I've known this girl forever, well since the 6th grade. I think we had homeroom together and maybe another class. I can't remember! I know I'm posting this kind of late in the day but...

I'm not a slacker, I promise...
So I've been told to write something....so here goes.....
It's not like I don't like to write, I'm just not a good writer. I'm also lazy and would much rather tell you one on one what's been going on. I'm suppose to be working on sharing anyway. Most of what I write isn't very deep and pretty much are what I'm thinking about at the moment. If you want to know more, you'll have to call me up or something to get more details. and I can be freakin' random and jump subjects like that! but I've been told that the more I write the better I get. It may be true, but when I was writing my grad school essays, it didn't get better. If anything I think it got worse! Oh well, because I did get into the schools I applied to, except UTSA since I was still missing like 3 more courses. It's ok bc I'm going to the school I wanted to get into.
Woohooo...in less than a month I will be moving to Galveston, TX to attend UTMB School of Allied Health, Occupational Therapy. Yes! I will be living by the beach and yes! also the hurricanes that are likely to occur there this year. No worries about my studies. Galveston beach isn't exactly the prettiest beach, to me it actually one of the worse I've been to. So living across from the shore for the next 2 years isn't going to distract me from my studying. haha...I say that now...
So that's what has been on my mind, and I still have a lot to do before I can actually sign up for classes: 1. Get my TB shot 2. transfer my last class credit 3. sign papers and finalize financial aid (I'm sooo in debt!) 4. get health insurance (can't go to school there w/o any) 5. call to make sure of my dorm room (they said they sent me papers about my room, but I haven't seen it)
I guess I'll get to that when I come back from Philadelphia! Yay!!! Another trip and probably my last one for awhile. I absolutely LOVE traveling. That's what I like to save my money for. If I could travel for a living I would =) I have never been to Philly before. I'll be there for the Lovely Bim's Wedding. I've known her for almost 10 years! Yup, another wedding. That makes like 1,001 so far this year and there are still more in 2006. I'm gonna go broke on presents which means no more traveling for me which means I'll be sooo sad. On that note, I need to do laundry and figure out what I need to bring to Philly. I think they're going through their heat wave right now. I check the weather and it's hotter and humid up there more than it is here! ahhhhhhhhh.....I almost forgot. I think I'll be getting to see Stephanie there too. I think her and her bf and another friend are going to drive up from DC so I can see her!!! whooohooo...that means this summer I got to see my ENTIRE Ohana (minus our leader, Julie, who I tried to see when I was in SF) from 2 summers ago =p I *heart* these girls sooo much!
Oh yea, I still have to write about California. Better yet, why don't you call me and I'll tell you.
and this past weekend I went to San Antonio. Geez....

Back...
I am back in Texas...stinky HOT HOT HOT dying HOT Texas!
I want to go back to Cali now, Thanks!
Now I must sleep because I hardly got any last night =(
Before I go, today at work, one of my little Down Syndrome girls goes, "Annie, I make poo" while on the treadmill...sigh...
It's a good thing she meant that she needed to make one. and it was a really stinky one too!

In Love...
with California!!!
sigh...being here reminds me of why I have always wanted to live here again.
Right now I'm in San Francisco. I got here yesterday and it is soooo soooo COLD!
It's the summer, yet its like 60 degrees here. and I have forgotten to pack more than just a thin longsleeve shirt.
I spent time with Man Nam and Georgiana yesterday! It was awesome to catch up with them again. Mannie's place here is super cute and right by the bay! We walked a lot, well a lot for me since I don't ever walk anywhere but it was nothing for her now. No time to write anymore (I will later) but funny things did happen. and I got food out of it too! Then I saw George! She took me to the beach...brrrr....and then a coffee shop and her house. More on that later too.
Today Miyako, Tiffany, Tammy, and another girl from EPIC at UC Davis is coming into SF!!!
sooooo excited I cannot wait! I haven't seen these girls in two years! and I am missing Hawaii all over again. I've seen all the girls from my Ohana except for Steph who is back in Hawaii again. So I guess I'll just have to make another trip out here!
I'll wrote more after I get back on Sunday and post some pictures =)
but I Miss You guys at home! Can't wait to see y'all!
I think we all should move over here...

New Home for a Month
I am in Austin until the end of June working at my old place, Children's Therapeutics. They needed another hand while in transition of office staff and therapists. Which works perfectly for me. A little extra cash before going to LA and Philadelphia in July and August (Though I probably should be saving it for the fall). I really miss working there, especially the kids. Of course the staff there too are pretty cool! So I am there working with the kids and in the office. and I am still working crazy long hours! Next week, I'll be going 10-6 everyday, which isnt too bad. I'll finally be able to get out early enough to do stuff in the evening =p Let's play! OK, I gotta get to bed. Work is early and late tomorrow.

When it rains, it POURS
The past two days has not been good for my car and me. I don't know what's going on but my car is having bad days. Thursday, My-An called me to watch Kaitlin and Kris while she was at an appt. Well on my way there, sitting at a red light, I hear a BOOM then another BOOM! and my car and I jolt. Oh geez, some woman in a truck hit the truck in front of her which hit my car. So I put my car in park and get out and this old man goes, I am sorry but she hit me and I tried to stop but couldn't. Well it wasn't really his fault, maybe a tad his fault, if he was too close to my car because I know him and I were at at complete stop. The woman comes out and says sorry I was looking for something in my car...I was like...uh great. So I tell the guy we needed to move off to the side because we were in the middle of the traffic. So the 3 of us move into the parking lot next to us. We get out and exchange information. I ask the old man if he was ok because he was breathing really really hard. He's like I don't know. He tells me he is a kidney transplant patient and has other medical conditions. I pull his truck bed door down so he can sit down, and I check his pulse. It was racing pretty fast. He asks if I can call 911, and of course I did, plus I needed to get the cops out here anyways since there were 3 of us involved. So I am calling 911 and the woman that hit us asks us if we copied the insurance information down yet, and I tell her no because I am calling 911. Then she proceeds to tell me that she had to go because she had to go to the dry cleaners. I was like...uh...you just hit us. This man doesn't look good. Not cool to just take off. I tell her that I called for an ambulance and the cops, so she can't leave. Then she tells us that she is a nurse. A nurse! and not once did she ask if either one of us were ok. I mean I looked fine but at least as the old man if he was ok. So I told her what he told me, and she says she once worked as a transplant nurse. I don't know if I would have wanted her as a nurse. She didn't show much concern for the guy. I was just praying that he wouldn't pass out right there. Anyway, the ambulance, cops, and tow truck comes. The old man asks me to call his son, so I did. He gets checked out and goes to the hospital. The cops takes our statement, checks our license and insurance. We get each others' info, and all this takes like over an hour! What a waste of time and being out in the sun at noon sucks! So I finally get to My-An's and well Kevin had to stop working and watch the kids. I was there for 5 minutes and My-An came home. haha...my car is fine. It just has two big holes and paint scraped off from the man's license plate. It's pretty big though. Other than that, nothing really damaged. Funny thing is last week, I just had my car estimated for hail damage.
So today, Friday, I was driving to West Oaks Mall to return some stuff and to meet up a friend. I was on the phone as I went under I-10 on Hwy6 when I hear my car tire run over something, making a popping noise. So I say, I think I just popped or something hitting my tires. It didn't feel right, but my car wasn't driving funny or anything. Either way, I pull over to a gas station and check my tires. I didn't see anything and figured everything was ok. I get to the mall, returned my stuff, look at the tires again, and went to Tapioca House. Truman and I were at Tap House for a pretty long while catching up and talking. As we were about to leave, I look out the window at my car and GREAT! My back right tire is flat! I knew it, I knew it!!! Haha...I couldn't believe it, I just laughed. I know how to change a tire (Dad taught me!) but I can't get the full spare out of the trunk so it really does me no good. Good thing Tru was there, even with his broken collarbone, he did pretty much everything. I felt soo bad that he had to help me and stuff, but I am so thankful that he was there and that we had a lot to catch up on so that my tire had time to deflate. and it was hot in the sun! haha...now my friends, you know what happens when you're around me! I think something has always happened when you're hanging around with me. Thank you again Tru!
**I blame this flat tire on Andrew because he had just told me earlier that he had a flat tire and had to change it this morning. haha...he didn't even go to work the day before because of his stomach**

Astros!
Wednesday night, I went to my first Astros game! I caught two balls!!! w00t =)
Andrew and I got there earlier to watch them practice, but we only got to see the Giants hit.
The game was boring. I still had fun though. For some reason, we just can't play when it comes to the Giants! I even called George to tell her we were gonna win...sigh. We lost, of course, that night. But I got to eat nachos, the same nachos that got Andrew sick. I don't know what happened. I guess I just have a stronger stomach than him! hehe...I'm thinking it was because he ate the jalapenos and drank the beer. That was the only difference since we were sharing the nachos. He had to stay home the next day. Read his blog...
Maybe the next time I go it will be a more exciting game!

Lubbock, TX
I can't sleep bc I woke up at 11 this morning and then fell asleep at 4 this afternoon...this is what happens when you don't work. So I found a conversation I had with Fung back in Frebruary about my trip to Texas Tech. By the way, the first thing the cab driver talked to me about in Lubbock was about their Dust Storms that happens. He compared it to the hurricanes we get down on the gulf...I don't know what to say to that!
lil nie 15 (11:44:01 PM): man
lil nie 15 (11:44:09 PM): i dont know if i can live in lubbock
Napping Pig (11:44:21 PM): lol
lil nie 15 (11:44:28 PM): i do like the program tho
Napping Pig (11:44:29 PM): was it like a whole bunch of cows?
lil nie 15 (11:44:31 PM): no
Napping Pig (11:44:32 PM): that's good
lil nie 15 (11:44:39 PM): it was just dry flat, dry sandy land
Napping Pig (11:44:47 PM): ...how exciting
lil nie 15 (11:44:56 PM): i have yet to check the city
Napping Pig (11:45:00 PM): haha ic
Napping Pig (11:45:05 PM): did you leave right after the interview?
lil nie 15 (11:45:10 PM): and so im sure there had to be some sort of life there

lil nie 15 (11:52:45 PM): crap

lil nie 15 (11:51:01 PM): i pull up as normal but the zipper didnt move
lil nie 15 (11:52:12 PM): i was like...crap
lil nie 15 (11:52:17 PM): here goes the madness!
lil nie 15 (11:52:29 PM): so i keep tugging and trying to move it around for like 10 minutes
lil nie 15 (11:52:42 PM): then i totally just pulled the handle of the zipper off!
lil nie 15 (11:52:45 PM): crap
Napping Pig (11:53:07 PM): awesome
lil nie 15 (11:53:16 PM): so i just tear the bag
lil nie 15 (11:53:36 PM): i rip a hole at the tip since its just those banana rep bags they give you
lil nie 15 (11:53:42 PM): and slip all my clothes out
lil nie 15 (11:53:48 PM): i get dressed finally
lil nie 15 (11:53:53 PM): then i go to put on my makeup
lil nie 15 (11:54:15 PM): well, my eyeshadow had started to break up a litlle bit
lil nie 15 (11:54:31 PM): usually i just turn it over and let the bits fall into the trashcan
lil nie 15 (11:54:39 PM): and it's all good
lil nie 15 (11:54:57 PM): well this time when i turned it over, the WHOLE thing falls in the trashcan
lil nie 15 (11:55:02 PM): >:o
lil nie 15 (11:55:07 PM): ahhhhh

lil nie 15 (11:55:28 PM): i know!
lil nie 15 (11:55:32 PM): i was like...man!!!!
lil nie 15 (11:55:52 PM): so i had to just work with what i had since i picked out the makeup i was going to use so i didnt have to bring everything
lil nie 15 (11:55:55 PM): sigh
Napping Pig (11:55:55 PM): did you fish it out?
lil nie 15 (11:55:57 PM): no
Napping Pig (11:56:01 PM): good
Napping Pig (11:56:03 PM): that would be gross
lil nie 15 (11:56:03 PM): its a huge trashcan and it was dark
lil nie 15 (11:56:06 PM): yeah
lil nie 15 (11:56:10 PM): since i would have to put it on my eyes! gross
lil nie 15 (11:56:11 PM): haha
lil nie 15 (11:56:33 PM): so by then im thinking, ive been in the bathroom for a really really really long time
lil nie 15 (11:56:42 PM): but i havent heard them call my flight to board
lil nie 15 (11:56:47 PM): my gate is next to the bathroom
lil nie 15 (11:56:56 PM): i look at my watch and its 10:30

lil nie 15 (11:57:42 PM): i come out and i look at the board and my flight is delayed for like 1 hr 15
lil nie 15 (11:57:45 PM): uhggggggg
lil nie 15 (11:57:47 PM): i knew it
lil nie 15 (11:57:49 PM): i knew it!
lil nie 15 (11:58:58 PM): so i call TT
lil nie 15 (11:59:03 PM): tell them i will be late for the interview
lil nie 15 (11:59:05 PM): sigh
lil nie 15 (11:59:14 PM): at least it's out of my hands
lil nie 15 (11:59:19 PM): i get to the interview about 20 minutes late, not bad
lil nie 15 (11:59:40 PM): they're during introductions first, but like everyone stares at you when you walk into something impt this late
Napping Pig (11:59:50 PM): haha
Napping Pig (11:59:51 PM): dangit
lil nie 15 (12:00:15 AM): sooo that's my morning
lil nie 15 (12:00:19 AM): but at least the interview was good
**Coming back, I got out of my interview early, so I was able to catch earlier flights out of Lubbock and out of Dallas. At least my day ended up much better**
I won't be going back to Lubbock anytime soon.
If you don't know yet, I will be in Galveston this Fall going to OT school!!! YAY =)

Ridiculous Requests
Well I don't think I really get ridiculous requests like Andrew does. I think the extent of crazy requests have been, "can you bake/cook me something" at like 4 AM during college.
Tonight Andrew asks:
comborice (10:15:41 PM): can you come over, make my bed, fluff my pillow and tell me a bedtime story and make sure i fall asleep before you leave?
lil nie 15 (10:15:52 PM): lol
comborice (10:16:06 PM): acts of service
comborice (10:16:07 PM): haha
yea...act of service...I live a bit far from you!

Annie Moment No. ?!?!?
Vanhdy, Jenny, Andrew, Sam, and I decided to go throw around the football today near Jenny's house. We just threw around the ball and then someone decided to run some routes and what not. All was going well and the guys thought that Jenny and I should practice being QB for girl plays during an actual game. Well, I think I can throw pretty decently, except under pressure. Which obviously happens when you're QB. So when I just throw around, everything just looks better and the ball goes further, all that good stuff. When you have me throw and someone is running at me...I just panic and forget all of the fundamentals of throwing a football. V decides that I should practice being QB and not be so scared of people rushing me. Here is the set up... Jenny is rushing, I think Andrew is receiving, Sam is covering him, and V is the hiker. We get into position, I say "hike" and Vanhdy hits me squared in between my left eye and nose! ooooo geeee golly that freakin' HURT!!! The nose of the football hit perfectly at my face! Nice hit Vanhdy!!! I didn't expect him to hike it right away...lol...even though that is exactly what you're suppose to do as a center. I guess I was a little too close and a little bit close to the ground! Another Annie moment...maybe I should start keeping count :/
Lately I've been having those many moments. Like the other weekend, a bunch of us were playing football. Well I was excited about something, and I was jumping up and down. About the 3rd or 4th jump, I landed and turned my already weak ankle...haha...Samooer just laughed at me. I never did post what happened back in February when I went to Lubbock for my Texas Tech interview. That entire day was awesome! One thing after another. Haha...oh well keeps my life exciting

My Mom...
At 4:30 AM today, May 12, 2006, I will be taking my mom to the airport. She is going to Cozumel for the weekend with her best friend. Haha...not my dad, he stays here, but with her girlfriend! At first I was like, what are these two ladies going to do there?!?! But Cozumel isn't just a place for younger people to have fun, anybody at any age can go there. Well, I'm excited for my mom :P It's cool that she and her friend can still take trips here and there. I also think, this was another trip that was somewhat spur of the moment. Like the last trip she took to see the same friend out in El Paso. Her friend was out there for work, and my mom saw cheap round trip tickets to there, so she went that weekend. Well that weekend, her and my mom drove all over the place and went site seeing. Haha...these two women! Anyway, I hope she has fun and a Happy Mother's Day!
One day girls, we all better be taking trips like these! Not necessary expensive ones, but just trips with us girls!

NFL Draft
I'm watching the NFL draft!
I can't believe it takes sooo freakin' long!
By the way, what exactly does a "football decision" (or whatever the Texans said) mean?
As long as the Texans win 1 game, they'll be better than they were last season :0
Yay for Texas Horns Vince Young and Michael Huff being #3 and #7 picked!
I guess the Titans knew for sure they get Vince since they had a #10 jersey ready for him and he'll be reunited with McNair. I know it doesn't matter where you're picked for you to be good, but hey it's good to be one of the ones wanted first! and Leinhart looks like a dork...hehe
Tonight is Jenny's birthday bash!
Happy early Birthday to her. Her actual birthday is 5/3 so wish her a happy birthday then too!

Cereal
It's better at night than in the morning!
and it's even better at night while studying for a test :]
Guess what I'm eating?!?!
CEREAL!!! Yogurt Burst Cheerios Strawberry...yum!
It would actually be more yum if they would just sell a box full of the yogurt burst cheerios.
I don't care too much for the regular cheerios.
I am also craving some Captain Crunch Berry and Frosted Flakes cereal too.
Yea, I don't really eat healthy cereal except for Honey Bunches of Oats.
Anyways, back to my cereal, I mean powerpoint slides.

A Walking Disaster
Since people are asking for updates (who knew you guys actually read what I write!)...
Last weekend, on Saturday, I played in football tournament. Which was a lot of fun, but it would have been much more fun if we at least scored 1 touchdown. Our team has actually not ever played together in an organized manner, so anyways...it was still a lot of fun! That morning I got there pretty much at 9:00 AM when we're suppose to start playing. I hurried up and smeared sunblock on me as best as I could. Usually, I am very careful about this because I tan horribly and well the sun isn't that great for you in long periods of time. Well since our team was so awesome, we finished playing around 11:30 AM or so. We were done for the day, but some of us had to ref. the other games. So ended up staying and watching and refereeing a game. Well smart me forgot to reapply the sunblock and was out there until 2:00. By then the sun was out and shining ever so brightly. All of us then proceeded to go eat and then we all went home to clean up and stuff. Well some of us decided to wash our cars. My house has trees and sort of shady, so I didn't think about sunblock. Needless to say, by the end of the day I had a bad, bad, bad sunburn. It wouldn't have been that bad if I didn't stay that extra 3 hours at the field or wash the cars. I don't think I have ever been sunburn before except a bit on my nose. By Saturday night, I was in pain. My sunburn hurt so bad, aloe, cold coasters on my shoulders, nothing helped. I think there is a picture of me on Jason's website. Sunny's burn was pretty bad too, just not as bad I don't think. That night during Hold 'Em we were both itching and feeling pretty yuck.
Come Sunday, everything around my shoulders are still red, hurting, and itching. Then during church I start to realize how many ant bites I got from washing my car. Jason's bite showed up Saturday and so did his rash. But my bites didn't show up til Sunday. I didn't know how many until later that day when it started popping up. So now not only was I itching from the sunburn, I was itching from ALL 20 million ant bites I got! They are sooo bad on my hands and bottom of my feet. They look like blisters!!! Ask Jenny, Andrew, or Vanhdy! They got the priviledge of seeing them at Pilates tonight.
Oh...I'm not done yet! To top everything off...I developed Canker sores. Sigh...not one, but 7 stinkin' cankers in my mouth. and for those of you who get confused, canker sores are not in any way related to any types of herpes! If you click on both of those links, they'll take you to different sites about canker sores and possibly why they developed. So yes, I am pretty yuck right now to say the least. All week, I haven't been able to walk or write correctly (yes, I also have bites on my finger tips) or EAT!!! I am sooo hungry...argggggg
For those of you who know me, this is probably something typical to happen to me. I am seriously a walking disaster all the time. At least this time it only effects me and not anyone else! I have a wedding to go to this weekend. I don't think any of this is going to clear up by then. I am going to have great picture turn outs this weekend. Hopefully I won't be asked to be in much even if it's family that is getting married.
**EDIT**
I forgot to mention that when I applied the sunblock on, since I was in a rush and all, it was not put on very carefully. So you can tell how far I can reach around and that I am right handed. On my neck/collarbone on the left side is not burnt at all but the right side is because I forgot to put some on that side. Same goes for the back of my shoulders and neck. You can tell where I cannot reach!

Friday after work...
I go to babysit My-An and Kevin's kids, Kaitlin and Kristopher.
They are the cutest kiddos.
Kaitlin is a little over 2 yrs and Kris is 7.5 months.
I love these kids. This is where I spend my lunch time almost every day.
So I had the PT look at my wrist. She said I strained it and its a bit inflammed.
I now have kineseo tape on it to help reduce some of the swelling.
The swelling on the top of my wrist is gone. Now it hurts when I try to bend my wrist.
haha...I hope I can play football tomorrow. I'll probably play anyway.
Time to feed the kiddos!

LONGHORN BASKETBALL!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!Did you catch our game...UT vs West Virginia?!?!
It made me lost my voice, that's how close it was. Though I have to admit I was yelling at my own team for being dumb...sorry, I can't help it. but we won't go into that. I had to yell, it was neck and neck the 2nd half since we lost our 14 point lead!
Oh well...Who cares! We won! Thanks Paulino for being clutch :)
When Paulino made the winning shot, Anet, my mom (yes my mom!), and I started screaming at the top of our lungs. My dad runs out from wherever he was like something happened to us. I guess you have to be here to see the site of 3 women yelling at 11 o'clock at night.
Now we're on our way to the Elite 8. We have LSU to beat, but I think we can do it.
"Big Baby" got nothing on us!
Ok, I gotta get to bed.
I think I have screwed up something around the superior part of my right scapula (from work I think) and my right wrist from slipping on the ground playing basketball like 3 times. Didn't learn the first time to NOT use my hand to break my fall.
I will go to work broken tomorrow. Maybe the PT I work for will do something about it!
Good Night!

Mannie and Me!

Mannie & Me
One of my closest and dearest friend got married. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding!
I love weddings (I have to, I'm at the age where everyone is getting married), but they can make me sad. It's really because friends move away after they get married. So far I have been lucky and most of the weddings I have attended are either in a different state or city so I don't see them often, or they are in the same town and I still get to see them. With Man Nam (Mannie), she moved to San Francisco because that is where Stephen is from. It was hard to tell her good-bye, but it will just mean I get to make a trip out to California! I'll miss seeing her, but she is happy so I am happy!
By the way, Man Nam, I will be in the San Jose/San Francisco area the third weekend in July!
Can't wait to see you then :P
I'll try and post some more pics later.
Too Fast
Spring Break is nearing its end. It always, always goes by way too fast.
I don't want to go back to class nor do I want to go back to work.
This week I tried a new restaurant everytime I went out to eat, which was like 6 different places. Most were good, but there will be some I will not go back to. By the end of the weekend, I want to try at least 2 more different restaurants.

Trickle
It's like 2:30 AM, and I just got home from Man Nam and Stephen's Wedding (absolutely gorgeous by the way!). I have been running around in heels all day long and all I want is a nice, hot shower.
So I get in and all is well...then the sprinklers from outside go on. GRRRRR.... *sigh*
I ended up showering with luke warm water under a trickle...trickle, trickle, trickle...what a way to end a beautiful day :P

Wanting a New Job
In my away message today, I wrote "who wants to hire me?" This is the response I get...
knawk (6:19:15 PM): i'll hire u!
knawk (6:19:18 PM): u can wash my car!
knawk (6:19:24 PM): i'll give u like...$7.50/hr
knawk (6:19:35 PM): OR
knawk (6:19:42 PM): u can clean our house! $9/hr!
knawk (6:19:44 PM): OR
knawk (6:19:54 PM): u can cook for us! $15/hr!
knawk (6:20:12 PM): OR
knawk (6:20:32 PM): u can be our personal house transporter! free lodging and food!
knawk (6:22:03 PM): in the luxurious confines of 1500 murray lane, an elegant 1920s setting household, set in the beautiful lush hillside of the Austin country
Leave it to kevin. But when I'm in Austin, I'll take up the cooking offer!
But seriously, I really want to get a new job. I have never not liked where I have worked before. I know everyone gets that kind of job every once in awhile, but until now, I have been blessed. I'm the type to work hard at whatever work I need to do and usually I don't say much about bad stuff. I still work my butt off here; but this time, I just don't feel comfortable at my job. I don't feel like I can relate with or talk to the people I work with (there is only 3 of us). I only work with the PT (don't see much of the office admin) and I am the only tech. I don't really talk to the PT because she is usually doing something. Most of the time she is telling me what to do with each patient's plan of care. It is hard being the only tech because then I end up having to juggle 5 patients around during an hour. To me, the quality and attention of therapy that each patient gets go down when I have to run around. I like the patients I see but only about half I see is there really any communication. The atmosphere makes a big difference in how you feel when you are at work. I also don't have a steady schedule so there is no set amount of hours I work. That doesn't help me when I trying to earn and save money. Grad school costs a lot! There is a lot more, but I don't want to say. and I really shouldn't be complaining. I do have a job, which is better than nothing. Anyway, enough of that. Please tell me to stop if you hear me complaining to you about this! Sorry about my complaining!

Interview
I just finished my interview with UTMB over the phone.
I was extremely hot and sweating everywhere!
Good think I was here and not there.
So by the end of next week, I will know where I will be come summer or fall or maybe even have options of where I will be!
I'm still waiting on UT San Antonio but if I can get in the other ones, I don't care for this one!
Dinner with the parents tonight for their anniversary.
I still owe an update and interesting stories.
I'll get around to that.
By the way, the patient that said I looked rough, said I looked much better!
Haha...old ladies crack me up :P

Job Update!
soo...I got the job!
whoohoooo...I called back to the clinic on Monday told her what I wanted as pay.
She called back Tuesday and we negotiated...I kinda won but at this moment pretty anything is better than nothing. Today, I start at 8 AM! That's right folks...8 AM.
I have not woken up at this hour since I have moved home in September. I also don't go to sleep until 4 am. Well last night, thankfully I fell asleep before 1 am but...I woke up at 5 am and COULD NOT go back to sleep. I tossed and turned and got up and heard my mom yell for my sister to wake up for 2 hours. Well my mom didn't yell for 2 hours, just 5 minutes, but I rolled around in my bed for 2 hours, getting really frustrated that I couldn't sleep again.
I work at Hope Rehab as a Rehab Tech. Teresa, the manager/PT, plays KSBJ all day so it is sooo great! and there was this one old lady who, is really perky, started singing along with songs...sooo cute! This is nothing like working with kids. Working here is very routine, I am not a fan with routine. I like to be creative with my patients, but anyway it's a job.
And I have to say, I totally dispise driving in Houston. The clinic is about 6 miles from my house, it took me 35-40 minutes to get there today. What in the world!!! sigh...at least I don't have to show up until 9 am tomorrow, and hopefully I'll get more than 4 hours of sleep.
Now I have to do homework...I'm back to being busy...oh boy...

Why?
Why do I have such a hard time making decisions, especially over the simplest thing?
Is it a girl thing because thats what I keep hearing!
Is it a girl thing because thats what I keep hearing!
YAHOOOO =D
My first exciting news in forever!!!
So finally after all the wait, as you all know I don't wait very well at all, I got a call for my first interview for grad school! Yahooo...I wanted to jump up and down as I was on the phone, but then I couldn't write down all the info I needed. The interview is to Texas Tech, not my first choice but at this point I'm not too terribly picky. I don't know anyone out there anymore. Everyone I knew has graduated and left. But who cares bc I'm still freaking ecstatic about it. But right now, I have the dilemma of trying to find a flight out there without staying overnight and so far it looks like I'm staying overnight. Darn those cities out there! The tickets are about $180, and I'm going out to the land of oil...geez!
Now if only UTMB would call me for an interview!
So I start calling friends to let them know because I'm home by myself and need to let it ALL out. So then, I get another call...for a job interview! I have been looking and no one has been hiring or calling me back. The therapist asks if I could come in an hour...sure! I have nothing else to do =) I go in, we talk, and I find out she's a PT graduate from Tech and she knows people in the OT department! SCORE! We talk about that for a little bit and then got shown around the clinic. I think I pretty much got the job since she told me to call back Monday to tell her whether or not I want the job. I think salary is the issue since I asked for a bit more than she can give. We will see come Monday.
That night I went to Osaka for Diana's birthday and to the Lounge. First time I have been out in Houston. It was no 4th/6th street but still a lot of fun! Thanks to Jenny who kept saying lets go, lets go!!! She's fun :p
I guess I better go start out my Saturday. I need to go pick up my contacts. I am also craving DIM SUM!!!

a lil' something
It's been awhile, hasn't it? When I first started, I didn't (and so did most people) think I would post for more than a week.
Anyway, classes have started and so has the job hunting. I'll be back soon, but here's a lil' something to hold you over.

National Champions!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TEXAS LONGHORN FOOTBALL!!!
Who said we couldn't win...who had doubts (*ahem* I won't name any Texas fans either)?!?! All you ESPN commentators who kept dogging on TEXAS over and over again. We showed you tonight...SUCKERS!!! and where were you, Reggie Bush, Mr. Heisman? You did NOTHING tonight, except maybe that funky lateral! haha...if anything Lyndel White was your man tonight! but who cares because TEXAS won, we won, we won!
I started getting a headache at the end of the game because I wasn't breathing. Depriving my brain of oxygen. It was just so exciting, so awesome, so crazy, so incredible, not enough time to breathe! My heart had several missed beat during the last 3 minutes of the game. After the game, Adam, Jason, Sungjin, and I went to the drag and the Co-op. Man, was it nuts out there! Cars honking, people screaming (including me!), cops every where! I wanted to go out to 6th but that would not be a good idea. We couldn't buy shirts because there were no more sizes and the lines were forever long. No prob, I'll be back tomorrow. TEXAS is #1...hands down. I don't know if I can go to sleep tonight, the adrenaline is still go
ing. I hope I can last at work tomorrow. I haven't worked in 4 months nor have I woken up before 8:30 am. It's going to be a long day tomorrow.
Like Kelvin said, "IT FEELS GOOD TO BE A LONGHORN!"
Say hello to Kaitlin, future Longhorn!
Good night!

Bowls of Champions
Wow...the Orange Bowl just ended...what a game! Triple overtime before Penn State pulled out the win with a field goal. Finally someone made it :O Gosh it was a long game.
On to something that matters MOST.....

I am so nervous right now, and I want to be in Pasadena so bad...ack!
I hope the game is as exciting as the FSU/Penn State game, with a Texas win to seal it :p
I'm driving to Austin tomorrow so hopefully I'll get some sleep. I wonder if the players are as nervous as I am. I can't wait!

Bad Elmo, Bad Sesame Street
I have the best luck in the world...just another story about my life!
The week of Christmas I found a book for Kaitlin (Kevin and My-An's daughter, close friends of mine) about potty training since she's potty training. It's called Potty Time with Elmo, really cute book with pictures that you push that make sounds and Elmo talks. Well, I was out of Houston when I bought it and other things have happened since then (that will be my next entry), and I never got a chance to bring it to her. Good thing though (I guess this can be where my luck is actually good) because Jason sent me this link about the book: http://www.local6.com/news/5784303/detail.html (click on the video link)
After I watched it, I was like no way the book I got said that. WRONG! I should have known that the book I picked up would say that. sigh. Elmo is suppose to say "Uh-oh! Who has to go?" My copy says, "Uh-oh (giggle) who wants to die?" HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. I even had Annette listen to it. She couldn't really make out all of what Elmo was saying, but she specifically said it had the word die in it! WOW! Seriously, what kind of sick person would do this?
The video says there have been several complaints, so they really should do a recall on these books! Back to Wal-Mart I go, and I'm going to tell them they should go through the books and pull the bad ones out or just take them all off the racks! Publication must not have paid attention, but then again, it's a bit hard to go through thousands of books to check for something you don't really know what you're checking for. I'm too tired to keep going. It has been a long day, and I have to wake up early tomorrow morning. Yay for day 2 of the new year! night.

New Year's Eve
It's been almost a week since I've posted and a crazy week it's been. There is always something going on in my life. There is so much I have to be thankful for this year! Even through the rough times I've had towards the end of this year, the good still out weighs the bad in every way. God really has been good to me no matter how far or how close I have been with Him throughout the year. I am blessed to be called His child. What are some good times that sticks out for you in 2005? I'll have to post mine up later.
Have a great New Year's Eve and please be careful whatever you are doing tonight!

UT football
Who did it?!?! Who did it?!?! Starters...One on O-line, One on D-line...
Actually I don't even care who did it (but I think I know). But why, why, why do you guys have to possibly be involved in something, possibly do something, or possible start something that has led to this point? What the heck? Yes, I know nothing has been charged and these are only alleged accusations, but it can be distracting. An on going investigation doesn't help. That's all I'm saying. I'm NOT saying that they are guilty, I am just saying that this could possibly hurt us. Let us not relive the 2000 Holiday Bowl incident. Mac Brown is great and Vince can help take care of the team...lets hope so. Even if it comes to the end and we're going without them, I'm pretty sure we will win the Championship anyways, but it's always good to have the WHOLE team together.
I still *heart* Longhorn football team, no doubt about that!

almost done
All the stores were crazy today!
I wish I were done shopping because I do not want to go back to the mall for a long, long time!
I did get most presents bought and now it's really just my parents and a few here and there. I still have no idea still what to get my parents. Nothing has popped up yet, at least I still have a week? What sucks though is as I shop, there are so many other things that I want but can't have. I swear I found something in almost every store that I would love to have! Shoes shoes and more shoes!
Oh yeah, before I went shopping, I finally got my haircut, near my house. I didn't want to drive all the way to Bellaire. Nothing drastic at all, I only really wanted a trim and relayer. If I had gotten to the salon earlier, I would have gotten some color in my hair, but I lolligag. You guys probably can't even tell I got it cut. But my stylist, Liliana, laughed at me because I hadn't gotten a cut in like 8 months or possibly 9. She said it was a good thing my hair is straight so someone can't really tell how bad it looks. How sad, and I am the one that keeps herself groomed the most between the two sisters! Yes, it had been that long, but you couldnt tell because most of the time it was up in a pony tail. When you work in rehab with kids, you probably want your hair tied back anyway! I really like her, had good conversation, and she's pretty quick. I think I'll go back to her and not 9 months from now either!
On another note, I finished my class on Tuesday instead of Thursday. I really just wanted to get it over with. Took my final and got out of there! Hopefully she will be posting an A. I miraculously exceeded what I needed to get on my final to get the A. I wish grad schools would hurry up and tell me if I got in or not. Better yet I wish they would stop screwing up my stuff!
Time to wrap some presents :D

Hole
Christmas shopping has put a huge hole in my bank acct. I guess this is why I should have gotten a job instead of sitting on my rear all day long. So much for moving back home to save money...I could have at least had a job in Austin! Oh well...thankgoodness for new credit cards with 0% balance transfers and 0% til 2007.
OK...I exaggerate...my bills aren't that crazy. I know better :D I am a responsible adult :0
I guess I am going to head back out there to do some more shopping and possibly get that haircut that I've been talking about for weeks!

update
Thursday: took my a&p test, got the grade I needed (thank goodness!) and drove to austin to begin Kelvin's celebration! We had dinner at NxNW...pretty good food there, especially the fries! then the boys went out...Friday: ohmygoodness do I miss my old job! I miss my coworkers and all those cute cute kids! I spent Friday afternoon helping them decorate the clinic and cooking. It was soo great to to talk to everyone at the party again. I wanna go back :(
(no one is looking at my camera...boo)

Then off to dinner at Abuelo's for Kelf's Birthday! I didn't know it was graduation weekend, but there were still a lot of ppl who showed up. Abuelos has pretty decent food and our waiter was phenomenal! Everyone loves Kelvin :D
That was great fun!
Saturday: woke up and drove back to Houston for Emerson's company dinner and watched A Christmas Carol. It's been a long time since I saw that play and it's not what I remembered. Did the play always have those scary skeleton ghosts? or maybe I am just remembering the Disney version!
Sunday: watched the Texans lose again. Why, why, why can't you guys just keep your lead or freakin make a field goal! I wonder if Reggie Bush will help us?

last minute accomplishments do pay off
So I finally finished my 9 (yeah it's only 9, but when you start it the day before, 9 is a lot!) page research paper on Autism at 1:40 pm. I'm running out of the house and going to Kinkos/FedEx because both of my printers at home are broken. I get there at 2:00. They have computers there that you can use, except they charge you an arm and a leg.
Prices go like this: $0.49 per copy & $0.20 per minute.
I spend $5.39 on copies and 10 minutes worth of time because they purposely make the computers there slow. I get to class early...she grades my paper..100. That's right, she puts a big, fat 100 on there! Man, I'm good...muhahaha
yum...dinner time! Popeyes chicken for meeee :D

outrageous!
Tickets for the Rose Bowl went on sale at 10:00 this morning. By like 10:05 am, nothing was available. By 11:00 am tickets were going for at least $1000 each on ebay. Ridiculous...absolutely ridiculous.
Guess I'll be watching it from home then. Wait...who am I going to watch it with? It's in the middle of the week and everyone I know works! You guys better be taking a day off to watch TEXAS kick some USC bootie!!!
Gotta finish my paper now. It's due in 3 hours. sigh.

Smell the ROSES baby!
I'm starting to see that I am at least a day late in writing what has already happened to me. oh well. So like my previous post said, I got to go to the Big 12 game, last minute, courtesy of Justin, but a HUGE HUGE thanks to Jason for actually wanting the tickets and seeing the game and then to drive to Houston at midnight. I *heart* Jason !!! I wonder what he would do for Texas basketball tickets if they were in the FINAL FOUR!!!
Big 12 conference game was at Reliant Stadium. I've never been there to watch a Texans game(I would at least try to go if they could win more than 1 game! I still love em anyway).
The game was AWESOME...even if it was a blowout (70-3). Nothing compares to being there with the ENTIRE stadium bleeding burnt orange! Literally the stadium was filled with Longhorn fans with the exception of the Colorado band and a few family members of the football team that were barely noticeable. They were suppose to reward the most spirited Buffalo fan, but I don't think they found one!
Our seats were in the TEXAS endzone, like 8 rows up from the field. I didn't think they were that bad. I was able to see most everything happening on the field and if not, that's what the jumbotron is for! It was so freaking hot! It felt like it was September out there and it's December! Everyone around was sweating like crazy, and it didn't help the sun was brightly shining in our faces until the second half. We stayed all entire time, even through the ceremony. I wanted to hear them give Texas an invitation to the Rose Bowl!
Now, how to obtain ROSE BOWL tickets and get myself to Pasadena to watch TEXAS run all over USC!
ROSE BOWL...here we come!

Justin Lo Rocks my Face Off
I *HEART* JUSTIN LO
So the BIG 12 game is tomorrow or today...I was looking for tickets earlier online because they released the rest of the tickets due to Colorado fans not buying them (yeah they know who's going to OWN them yet again!) but they were like over $100 each and no seats next to each other. I was soo sad...BUT then I found out that...Justin is my HERO!!!
Justin Lo is the coolest guy ever!
Even if that one time in PL he made the sea gulls poop on me :(
He's giving me his BIG 12 tickets!!!
I am soo pumped!
But I am sorry you're not going. It stinks to let school get in the way of fun things.
You'll get those ROSE BOWL tickets and the game will be a million times better!
HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!

queen of procrasination
It's almost 10pm and I stayed in tonight so I can write my 8-10 page research paper for A&P. I got nothing done...well, I stapled the research articles I found to seperate them. I'll be writing about Autism but that will be after I bake some brownies. haha...
I also was suppose to have started this early this afternoon, but I opted to xmas shopping instead. I went for 5 hours and found hardly anything! What do people want that they don't already have? I'll be back to write more about the shopping trip after my brownies are made!

insomnia & headaches
Hm...I have a lot to say since my test on Tuesday, but everytime I sit down and want to write, it's like after 2:00am. Good thing it's only 1:30am but being on here right now does not help me fix my sleeping schedule. Maybe my sleeping habit, or lack there of, is giving me my crazy painful headaches. Like the ones where you feel like there is a hanner in your head, and it's pounding away at you skull. Wednesday night on my way home from small group, I didn't know if I was going to make it! I felt nauseous and wanted to vomit. Yeah...I know...gross. I've been having one everyday for the past two weeks and lasts most of the entire time I'm awake. sigh. Anywho, I'll be xmas shopping later today. Let me know what you want, or you might end up with something hidious...muhaha :D
time to lay down for a few hours...good night now!
